Charity Auction: Disorient Express London – Prague

Czech Centre London, Islington Council and Red Gallery invite you to take part in the The Disorient Express London – Prague charity auction. This project involves over 30 brilliant British and Czech artists who each individually transformed a carriage model to compose a unique model train. The auction earnings will be donated to the Islington-based charity Access to Sports, which delivers a range of free sports and educational activities for young people.

CHARITY AUCTION: Disorient Express London – Prague
19 September 2013, 7 pm
Red Gallery, 1-3 Rivington Street, London, EC2A 3DT

“The Disorient Express aims to animate common cultural connections between Prague and London. Disorient refers to the diversity of the contemporary art scene, the variety of media applied by a generation of artists forming the young and future face of both cities; and is a frank reference to the legendary Orient Express. The success and popularity of all the exhibition´s stations show this route undoubtedly found its happy customers.”   Ladislav Pflimpfl, Disorient Express curator and engine-driver

The Disorient Express was exhibited at the Czech House during the London Olympic Games in 2012 as part of Czech Open 2012, the Czech cultural season in Islington. Now, both art and carriage model admirers have the opportunity to purchase these unique artworks.
