Tony Harrison's Prague Spring on BBC Radio 3

On Sunday 8 June 2018 BBC Radio 3 broadcasted a live feature with journalist Chris Bowlby and poet, translator and playwright Tony Harrison, who both travelled to Prague to discover how one of Britain's best known poets was shaped by the cultural energy and tragedy of 1960s Czechoslovakia.

The broadcast also featured Czech cartoonist  Jiří Jirásek, whose caricatures from 1968 were, thanks to Tony Harrison, exhibited in London in 1969 and whose work will be on display at the Czech Centre’s upcoming exhibition Make Love Not War Or We’ll Kill You; Prague Spring 1968 in Cartoons from 30 July till 2 September 2018.
