LAST FATA MORGANA: Czech Designers at the International Fashion Showcase
Cactus-shaped headpieces, sensual womenswear designed in idiosyncratic techniques or lusciously Romanticism-influenced fetish underwear – these are just a few examples from the collections made by emerging Czech fashion designers who exhibited their work during the International Fashion Showcase 2016. Held at the Somerset House between 19 –23 February 2016, the exhibition titled Last Fata Morgana featured designs by students and recent graduates of the Prague Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design (UMPRUM). The exhibition was selected by a jury headed by leading style critic Sarah Mower as the best exhibition at this year's International Fashion Showcase. It was the third time the Czech Centre London brought the country’s leading voices of fashion design to the glamorous event as part of London Fashion Week.
