Jan Nemecs auto-documentary recounts the story of how he filmed the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia and smuggled the footage out of the country with the help of the Ferrari Dino Girl. Includes the original unedited 1968 footage. 



Jachym and Filip Topol

An evening of literature and live music with award-winning writer Jachym Topol in conversation with journalist Maya Jaggi about his new book Gargling with Tar (set in 1968), and his brother Filip, singer and pianist, leader of the Czech rock group Psi vojaci.

MAYA JAGGI is an award-winning cultural journalist, critic and presenter, whose arts profiles and reviews appear in the Guardian Review, Financial Times, Independent and Economist, among other publications. She also contributes to BBC radio and television. She has interviewed 12 Nobel prizewinners in literature, and authors from Salman Rushdie to Tom Stoppard.

Some of her interviews appear in the books Lives and Works, and Writing Across Worlds. She has been a judge of literary awards including the Orange Prize, the David Cohen Prize, the Caine Prize and the Commonwealth Writers Prize. Educated at Oxford University and the London School of Economics, she is an Associate Fellow of Warwick University and a member of English PEN¹s Writers in Prison committee.
