2014 Soundings: New Collaborations
The ACF’s contemporary music platform brings together composers from Austria and the UK for a week of events including concerts, talks, and open rehearsals. Now in its 11th year, the project will join forces with students at the Royal College of Music. This is a unique opportunity to gain insight into the world of new music and to compare and contrast the work being produced in both of these dynamic and creative countries. Featuring Czech composer based in Vienna Šimon Voseček.
Curated by Mary Dullea from the Fidelio Trio and moderated by Piers Hellawell, this year’s featured composers include Tom Coult, Joanna Lee, and Rúaidhrí Mannion from the UK alongside Arturo Fuentes, Julia Purgina and Šimon Voseček from Austria. Concerts will take place on 30 October, 7pm at the ACF London and on Friday 31 October, 7.30pm at the Royal College of Music.
