"Prague - Brno 2005: 6 Contemporary composers for cello solo in the interpretation of Frantisek Brikcius".

This unique project, held under the auspices of Vaclav Havel, Petr Pithart (1st Vice-President of the Senate of Czech Republic) and Richard Svoboda (Lord Mayor of the City of Brno), was released in Prague (October 10, 2005, Klementinum - Mirror Hall) and in Brno (October 12, 2005, Husa na provazku - CED). Project Prague - Brno 2005: "6 Contemporary composers for cello solo in the interpretation of Frantisek Brikcius" has been introduced at the cello festival "Violoncello 2005" in Brussels, at the music festival "Spring in Russia 2006" in Moscow. One of the main ideas of this rare project is presentation of works by renowned Czech composers (Lubos Fiser, Petr Hejny, Jan Jirasek, Irena Kosikova, Jiri Matys a Milos Stedron), based in two biggest agglomerations of Czech Republic. Dramaturgy of this unique social event was limited by the time (10 minutes), place of composer's origin (Prague, Brno) and limitation for cello solo only. There is the CD record.

"Tartini's L'Arte dell'Arco in the interpretation of Frantisek Brikcius"

"Tartini's L'Arte dell'Arco in the interpretation of Frantisek Brikcius" is 50 variations written by Giuseppe Tartini on the theme of Corelli's Gavotte in the transcription of French cellist Paul Bazelaire for cello solo. Premiere was held in Prague (June 19, 2006, Klementinum - Mirror Hall) and Brno (June 21, 2006, CED - Husa na provazku). Concerts were prepared under the auspices of the Slovenian embassy in Prague and under the auspices of the Italian Culture Institute in Prague in the cooperation with National Library of the Czech Republic, CED and l'Association des Amis de Paul Bazelaire and l'Association Francaise du Violoncelle.

Both projects will be as part of the "Brikcius Cello Tour 2007" presented Austria, France, Italy and United Kingdom (http://www.Brikcius.com/Doc/PressKit/BrikciusCelloTour2007.doc).
