Czech representatives at the Science on Stage festival

This year, nine Czech lecturers and teachers will take part in the Science on Stage festival, an international display of creative and innovative talents from across the whole of Europe in the field of scientific education. The festival includes the winners of the Czech national round of the Science on Stage contest which takes place every two years.

The successful projects this year are:

Petr Desenský and Jakub Šesták: A fairy tale in a chemical kingdom
Rita Chalupníková: Siege weapons from the Middle Ages
Kateřina Lipertová: Paper geometry
Václav Piskač: Physics using buggies
Zdeněk Polák: Experiments with photoluminescence
Renata Rydvalová: Honey kingdom
Jitka Soukupová: Experiments with drink cans
Peter Žilavý: Electricity around us

All of the participants are experienced teachers. Those that have already taken part in Science on Stage have always returned with new ideas to introduce to the Czech Republic and, equally, have always brought projects to the festival which stimulate great interest among others.
