The movie will be available for free for 24 hours from 12 pm on Monday 1 June

The ZOOM Q&A session with director Dan Přibáň and film critic Ben Nicholson starts at 8 pm (BST) here:

A few years ago, the Czech adventurer Dan Přibáň set out to prove that you don’t need a big expensive truck for a big journey. Driving a yellow East German made Trabant – Europe’s worst car – he undertook an epic journey across all the continents. Dan’s yellow Trabant circus consisting of two Trabants, one JAWA motorcycle and a Fiat 126 has successfully travelled the world and is now embarking on a final journey from India back home. Traversing the Himalayas and dictatorships, they break world records and flee the police on the journey through Nepal, Pakistan, China, Uzbekistan, Russia, Ukraine and Slovakia, all the way back to Prague covering more than 25,000 km.  Though finding themselves often in a bit of a pickle, the Czech-Slovak-Polish crew face mishaps and adrenaline-packed moments with dark humour and self-deprecation, at times pushing the boundaries of political correctness. A Czech audience hit, Trabant: There and Back Again is a testament to the fact that most obstacles are self-imposed and that it is often enough to admit something’s possible for things to actually get going.
