The Emmy Destinn Young Singers Awards 2011

This biennial international competition was established in 2000 in London to promote Czech opera and provide a platform to showcase young talent. This year a new award called Czech Song Prize has been created to mark the 130th anniversary of Emmy Destinn’s birth, which is to inspire young singers to explore the great wealth of Czech songs. The award finals will be traditionally staged in Prague.
