Glassmania!: Czech Glass Champions at TENT London

The Czech Centre and CzechTrade together with The Academy of Arts, Architecture & Design in Prague (UMPRUM) present GLASSMANIA!, an exhibition dedicated to Bohemian glass masters and their exclusive design ideas that reach far beyond the predictable and ordinary. Featuring pieces by Preciosa Lighting, Kolektiv Ateliers, Clartés Bohemia, Evans Atelier and Astera Glass, some of which were created in partnership with the talented students of UMPRUM. Official part of London Design Festival.

GLASSMANIA! is fascination with glass, it is the joy of designing and enthusiasm for making things with this extraordinary material.

GLASSMANIA! is a collective that connects students, craftspeople, managers and brand owners who are not afraid to experiment.

GLASSMANIA! is a project in which the craftsmanship of Czech glassmakers is enhanced by Czech design and the creativity of students cultivates the craft and shifts its boundaries.

It is my great wish that the students should be aware of all these things and experience them at first hand, that they should honour the craft, look on the mastery of glassmaking experts with humility and at the same time the self-confidence to produce original creations of their own.
