hidden europe: datatransfer: czech moving image
This programme covers creme de la creme of the last decade of Czech digital film. Short films, music videos, jingles, ads by internationally renowned directors such as Ivan Zachariáš, Tomáš Mašín, Martin Krejčí, Jakub Kohák, Tomáš Luňák and David Možný.
onedotzero is a festival featuring new forms of moving image across music video, computer gaming cinematics, architecture, motion graphics, new media, feature films, and graphic-inflected shorts and documentaries with a series of panels, presentations, screenings, and live events.
Czech Style De Luxe is presented in cooperation with Datatrasfer, festival of visual styles in Prague on
Wednesday 1st June at 6:30pm.
Ivan Zachariáš – The Czech Marionette
The most famous Czech director of advertising spots most often works in his country with playful miniatures, such as this gently ironical invitation to an exhibition on the rich history of the Czech marionette.

Jakub Kohák: Attention aux Hommes!
The eminent Czech director of advertisements, Jakub Kohák, first attracted serious attention with his dramatic video Attention aux Hommes! for the group Tata Bojs. The playfulness of the members of Tata Bojs blended perfectly with Kohák’s almost malicious irony.
David Možný – DFX: Virtual Soul Waste: Our Affair
A book about the residential culture of the 1970s in the socialist blok inspired the graphic imagination of David Možný. This video was the first Czech work presented in the official programme of the onedotzero festival, in the Graphic Cities section.
Tres Tristes Tigres - Tomáš Luňák: I´m (Not Really) Optimistic
Behind the label Tres Tristes Tigres are director Tomáš Luňák and cameraman Jan Baset Střítežský. For the video for The Ecstasy of Saint Theresa they combined classic puppet animation with 3D animation.
