Historic UNESCO town of Telc - an exhibition and debate "To be or not to be an aristocrat with a chateau to keep ..."

Czech National Trust Abroad is bringing to you a fabulous exhibition showing the history of the UNESCO town of Telc as seen through the lives of the most influential aristocratic families of the region.
Docent Josef Stulc, former General Director
of the State Heritage Institute and President of ICOMOS in CzR will
introduce the exhibition. Count Dr Leopold Podstatzky-Lichtenstein,
a prominent member of one such family will talk about the perils and joys of
post communist restitution.
The guests of honour and co-chairs of the event Ben Cowell,
Director General of Historic Houses of Britain will lead a debate on the
role of the state in the upkeep of private heritage properties and Catherine
Leonard, Secretary General of the International National Trusts
Organisation (INTO), will provide an international dimension to the
debate. Dr Irena Edwards, Chairman of the Czech
National Trust will give a short annual update on CNT.

- Introduction of the exhibition followed by a discussion
- Opening of the exhibition
- Drinks and nibbles
Tickets: £15, students £5
(includes a glass of wine or soft drink with finger food)
All proceeds will go towards the Czech National
Trust projects.
