Kateřina Šedá at Somerset House

Somerset House in London holds 24/7 A Wake-Up Call for our Non-Stop World exhibition showcasing works by Kateřina Šedá and a dozen other artists.

24/7 is an essential exhibition for today, exploring the non-stop nature of modern life. 24/7 takes visitors on a multi-sensory journey from the cold light of the moon to the fading warmth of sunset through five themed zones and contains over 50 multi-disciplinary works that will provoke and entertain. Contributors include Douglas Coupland, Mat Collishaw, Harun Farocki, Pierre Huyghe, Rut Blees Luxemburg, Kelly Richardson, Kateřina Šedá, Pilvi Takala, Addie Wagenknecht, and ten artists and designers from Somerset House Studios, including Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard and Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg. Inspired by Jonathan Crary’s book of the same name, and curated by Sarah Cook, 24/7 holds up a mirror to our always-on culture and invites you to step outside of your day-to-day routine to engage, reflect and reset.

Kateřina Šedá is a Czech artist focused on conceptual and social art. She has showcased her work in IHME (Helsinki), SFMOMA (San Francisco), Tate Modern (London), New Museum (New York), Renaissance Society (Chicago), Berlin Biennale, Biennale di Venezia, Kunstmuseum Luzern and many others. She has received many awards, including Contemporary Art Society Award (UK), Fluxus Award (Germany), Essl Award (Austria), TAKU Production Prize (Finland) or Jindřich Chalupecký Award (Czech Republic). www.katerinaseda.cz/en/
