Let's draw the Olympics! Exhibition
To celebrate Czech Open 2012 and the London 2012 Olympics, over 180 Czech and British children, led by artist Zuzana Jungmanova during a dozen a workshops, developed a story about five animated friends who live in London and decide to organise their own Olympic Games. The children's paintings will be on view at the exhibition while the resulting 10-minute film can be seen on the big screen during the Arts Programming at the Czech House.
This event was part of Czech Open 2012, the accompanying cultural programme of the London Olympic Games 2012 organised by the Czech Centre London in collaboration with the Czech Olympic Committee, the City of Prague, the Islington City Council, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the UK and other partners.
The Czech Open season presented dozens of Czech artists, designers, musicians and many more who, in collaboration with their British counterparts, created projects for London-based galleries, cinemas, festivals and community spaces between March and August 2012.
Czech Open 2012 was the largest and most visible presentation of Czech culture in the UK in the last decade.
