Ladislav Pflimpfl, the Director of the Czech Centre in London, is leaving his position at the end of January 2013 after almost 10 years in the role: "Working at the Czech Centre and with a brilliant team there has been a real privilege and I am enormously grateful for all the support I was given over the years in London. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone for their trust, support and interest. I trust that the Czech Centre will enjoy many successes with Tereza at the helm." Before joining the Czech Centres Tereza Porybná was among other the programming director of One World Documentary Film Festival and head of educational and social programmes for People in Need in Ethiopia. "My main goal is to assure that the Czech Centre London continues to be a respected partner for both Czech and British artists and cultural institutions and will creatively connect the two cultural scenes. I hope to initiate long-term cooperation and projects especially in the fields of contemporary art, design and fashion."
