A Walk Worthwhile + Q&A with writer and actor Jiri Suchy

A recording of the exquisitely staged, sell out National Theatre show directed by Miloš and Petr Forman which revived a 1965 popular jazz opera by Jiří Suchý and Jiří Šlitr. Suchý reprises his role of the Postman who delivers a telegram from Auntie in Liverpool to a divorcing couple, Uli and Vanilka, bequeathing one million pounds to Vanilka’s future child. A vision of possible millions changes the perspective of Uli, Vanilka and their lawyer igniting a spiral of amorous advances. Up-tempo jazz-pop score, wonderful lyrics and great acting makes this a joy to watch.
