Poetry Periscope in Scotland

This year the Czech Centre London will be working with the Edinburgh City of Literature Trust and Piana na Ulici to facilitate the Edinburgh mini-tour of the Poetry Periscope. The bright yellow jukebox made its debut in London at the British Library, part of the European Literature Festival, and will now be coming to Scotland for the first time.
The Periscope contains 30 poems from 30 European poets
that can be listened to in their original language as well as in translation,
and will be making its first Scottish appearance at the Edinburgh International
Science Festival, before visiting key venues around the city.
The Poetry Periscope, originally developed in the Czech
Republic, is a joint project by the Czech Centre London and Piana na ulici
organised on behalf of EUNIC London. It was part of the 2016 European
Literature Festival organised by EUNIC London and initiated by the Czech Centre
in partnership with the British Library.
