Remembering 1968: Ivan Klima with John Tusa

Writer Ivan Klima had already survived a concentration camp and the Stalinist communist regime when, in 1968, the Soviet tanks rolled into Czechoslovakia and ended the liberal experiment of the Prague Spring. Klima chose to return home from London to a life of persecution and a total publication ban. A seminal voice of Prague, Czech and world literature and, alongside Vaclav Havel, an icon of intellectual resistance. He talks to Czech-born broadcaster and journalist, Sir John Tusa, about freedom, honesty, love and politics.
