Say Goodbye to Writer’s Block!

Encourage your friends, have a go yourself, come up with fact or fiction for the BCSA’s 2007 writing competition. Prizes will be awarded to the best 1,500 to 2,000-word pieces of original prose writing, in English, relating to the links between Britain and the Czech/Slovak Republics, or describing society in transition in the Republics since 1989.

The writer of this year's winning entry will receive £300, which will be presented at the BCSA annual dinner in London in November 2007. The winning entry will be published in the December 2007 issue of the British Czech and Slovak Review. The runner-up will win £100.

Submissions are invited from individuals of any age, nationality or educational background.  Entrants do not need to be members of the BCSA.  Entry is free.

Entries should be received by 30 June 2007. The competition will be judged by a panel of experts. The writer of the prize-winning entry will be notified by 30 September 2007.
