The White World According to Daliborek

An absurdly funny, laceratingly smart and ultimately chilling glimpse into the tragicomic life of a down-at-heel Czech neo-Nazi.

Dalibor K. lives with his social media obsessed mum, makes amateur horror films and writes angry songs posting them on YouTube. He hates his job, gypsies, Jews, refugees, gays, spiders, dentists and Angela Merkel. He also hates his life but doesn’t know how to change it. Pushing 40 he has never had a real relationship and when he finally finds a girlfriend she won’t have sex with him. A hilarious but chilling stylized portrait of a hapless Czech neo-Nazi by provocateur filmmaker Vit Klusak of Czech Dream fame which recalls the work of Joshua Oppenheimer and explores uncomfortable, urgent and complex topics in a seemingly uncritical, almost reality-TV style.

Vít Klusák, CZ / SK / UK 2017, 105 min

The film premiered at KVIFF and was screened at IDFA.
