The Harries - Viklicky - Dvorsky Trio

Czech pianist Emil Viklicky and British jazz guitarist and singer James Harries in an unmissable performance.

The Harries-Viklicky-Dvorsky Trio is the surprising collaboration between the British singer/songwriter, James Harries, and two of the Czech Republic's best and most famous jazz musicians, Emil Viklicky (piano) and Petr Dvorsky (contrabass).

Coming together for the first time on James' debut solo album (Chapter IV) and later combining to co-write a song for a Czech film, the trio formed spontaneously as a result of a natural musical and personal connection to play the Czech Republic's two most prestigious Jazz festivals in October 2002.

The incredible reception the trio had led to a series of further sell-out concerts and festivals and naturally onto the recording of an album ("The Straight Street Session"), which was released on Indies Records on the 7th of October 2003 to rave reviews.

Although hard to define, the music of the Harries-Viklicky-Dvorsky Trio incorporates elements of jazz, folk, pop and rock to create a sound that is altogether unique but unbelievably melodic, emotional and exciting.
