The Sins of Love & live music accompaniment by Ivan Acher

The dramatic story of an actor whose life is destroyed by a theatre engagement in the big city, and by his obsessive love for his beautiful, much younger wife. When Ivan and Sonia leave the countryside for the city, she becomes a star and takes a lover; so begins a spiral of events that lead to tragedy. Beautifully directed by leading European actor and filmmaker Karel Lamač who shot newsreels during WWI and with RAF during WWII.

Ivan Acher is a Czech artist, musician and composer. His work is characterised by transcending genres and his surprising approach to instrumentation, arrangements and use of musical and non-musical instruments.
