Tomorrow There Will Be...

Premiered in 2008, Aleš Březina and Jiří Nekvasils opera Tomorrow There Will Be… became one of the most fascinating and successful domestic music productions in recent years due to its topical theme and the powerful perfomances. Written for opera singer Soňa Červená and using period texts it follows the show trial of Dr Milada Horáková, a member of parliament for the Czechoslovak National Socialist Party, who was sentenced to death in 1950 following the Communist putsch. Filmed superbly by Jan Hřebejk, the result is a treat for both opera and film fans.
