Vertigo presents FINGERTIPS – live music to film event

Curzon Cinemas present Tereza Stehlíková’s FINGERTIPS with an original soundtrack performed live by Philip Jeck.

Box Office 0870 756 4620

Tickets £5.50 / £4.50 concessions/Curzon Members

The film is a series of still and moving images slowly dissolving into each other, explores the idea of memories encoded within the tactile reality of objects and surfaces and the way these (memories, as well as surfaces) change and transform with time. Born in Prague, Tereza Stehlíková works in London as a filmmaker, illustrator and visiting tutor at the RCA. She is the featured artist in the current issue of Vertigo.

Philip Jeck’s best-known work, ‘Vinyl Requiem’ with Lol Sargent won the Time Out Performance Award in 1993. His solo work almost exclusively appears on Touch.

The live music performance will be preceded by CHARTRES SERIES

Director: Stan Brakhage. USA 1994. 9 mins. Silent.
A rare treat by the master of visual poetry.
