Vintage 1957 films - Jiri Weis: The Wolf Trap

To celebrate 50 years of European Union, European cultural institutes and Embassies in London have come together to organise a season of films made in 1957, the year the Treaty of Rome was signed. The season includes Wolf Trap from the Czech Republic, a psychological drama by Jiri Weis, set in the years following the end of the First World War.

 

On the line-up will be Fellini’s Oscar winning Le Notti di Cabiria, The Confessions of Felix Krull from Germany, Louis Malle’s List to the Scaffold, Bergman’s classic Wild Strawberries and Wadja’s masterful Kanal.

 

Screenings will be devided between Institut francais and the Goethe Institut London.
