West London Sinfonia Plays Smetana's Má vlast

To mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia, one of London's leading amateur orchestras plays Bedrich Smetana's superb cycle of six tone poems celebrating in music the landscape, legends and folklore of the Czech nation.

West London Sinfonia
One of London's leading amateur orchestras, West London Sinfonia was founded in 1970  It performs 7 concerts a year, mostly around Ealing and Chiswick, but also including an annual concert in the West End.  The orchestra plays a wide range of music, but concentrates  on works from the late 19th and 20th centuries, such as those by Dvorak, Mahler and Shostakovich.
