Czech Language Courses


Continue your studies and learn Czech during the winter term from the safety of your home in a virtual classroom as part of a group. Our tutors will bring classes to you via interactive online platforms (Skype, Zoom) making sure that you practise your speaking, reading, listening and writing skills in a supportive environment and in the company of your friends and colleagues, turning it into a new and fascinating experience.

You just need:
  • Mac, iPad, tablet, PC or laptop with a microphone and a camera ( a headset with a microphone is a plus)
  • Stable internet connection – broadband wired or wireless with sufficient bandwidth
  • One of the following supported browsers:
    Windows: IE7+, Firefox, Chrome, Safari5+; Mac: Safari5+, Firefox, Chrome; Linux: Firefox, Chrome

About the courses:

  • Courses are divided into Beginners, Lower Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advance Courses
  • Each course consists of three terms starting in September, January and April
  • Each term consists of either 12, 11 or 10 two-hours lessons
  • All classes are held once a week on a weekday Monday – Thursday from 6.30 to 8.30pm
  • Average number of students per group is 8 with a maximum of 14 students
  • Course materials: New Czech Step by Step, Czech Step by Step II. Our teachers use additional materials according to the actual needs of students.
  • The aim is to teach students effective communication in Czech in everyday situations and involve in communication all participants


Czech language courses for parents, grandparents and relatives of children attending the Czech School without Borders, London. Specially designed courses for those who want to engage more with the Czech language and culture during the family time.

  • The courses are organised by the CSWBL in collaboration with the Czech Centre
  • The courses are organised each half terms on Saturdays when the CSWBL takes place
  • Lessons are tutored by fully qualified, experienced native speakers
  • We offer Beginners and Intermediate Courses
  • The minimum number of students for the course to open is six
  • Course materials: New Czech Step by Step by Lida Hola (the cost of a text book is not included in the course fee)
